Mountainous area of Korinthia

The area of Mountainous Korinthia is characterized from mountain range of Zireias and the villages built on the slopes of the range, at an altitude of 900 meters above the Corinthian Gulf. Main characteristics of the region is the rich natural and cultural environment and traditional villages that add to the aesthetics of the landscape.

At the wintry months Mountainous Korinthia charms the charms visitors with its snowy landscapes and breathtaking routes between the very tall mountains and graphic lakes. However and the summer months mountainous Korinthia offer to the visitors moments of dew and calm in the splendid mountainous landscapes, overlooking the Corinthian Gulf.

The Mountainous Korinthia consists of beautiful hillsides with canyons, beautiful churches and villages full of natural beauty. West of Mountainous Korinthia is the village of Goura and southernly the village of Mosia and beautiful Chestnut located in a forest of firs. Trikala is located on the north side of the mountain which is divided into three districts: the Upper, the Medium and KatoTrikala, which were built on the ruins of the ancient Mysaiou. East of Trikala and overlooking the valley of Sythas river is the village of Manna and west of the village of Karia. The east side Mountainous Korinthia consists of many settlements as village Kaliana which is the capital of the municipality Stymfalias, Karteri Village, Stymfalia and Kefalari.
